Silk Wrist Wraps Listed

Just a reminder in case you missed my post, several new hand dyed silk ribbon wraps have been listed in my esty shop. If you look to the right of this post you will see a square area of a few items in my etsy sop -AutumnLeavesJewelry- click on any photo to enter my shop :)

Also, I have a new batch of hand dyed Greens of Summer silk ribbons I will be adding soon. I'm going to photograph each ribbon and give an option for the charm you would like added. The charms are securely placed so they will never ever fall off.

Also, these charms are die punched by me, hand stamped, using my set from the 1890s (I love love love the font!) ...and yes, even the sterling silver jump rings are made by me.

Here's a peek at my Greens of Summer batch:

Silk Wrap Bracelets with Charms

These will be available in my etsy shop a little later today. There will be many variations to choose from as well...each wrap is hand dyed and long. They are long enough to be creative with the width of area you prefer.

All charms are sawed and die punched by me, hand stamped, by me. (I even saw my little jump rings)

Something truly unique- the stamps are from the 1890s, or earlier, I'm not quite sure the actual date. I recectly procured them and am so happy with the results! I have more current stamps but I'd like to use these as for a while.

Please check my shop, AutumnLeavesJewelry, for these listings.

Meanwhile, we woke to this...happy spring? My daffodils are drooping.

and finally...this is how my Ginger Girl usually rolls in my studio

Stay warm!

So Much Going On!

I have missed blogging and want to get back to it. It's nice to have a place where I can showcase work in progress and also finished pieces. A place to talk about my creative process and network with other artists :-)

This April I will be participating in a show at the Ratner Museum with fellow Ladysmith's. Last year was such a huge success! I'm looking forward to this years show. There will be 10 of us showing and selling our metal smithed/jewelry items. It's such a pleasure to think of going back to the Ratner.

If you live in the area please come by, the dates are April 27-28th. I'll post a photo of our announcement below with more details for you.

Remember we offer valet parking, there will be live music and wine. (The valet parking is a real time saver) There is no admission to enter.

(click on the image to see it larger in a new window)

Meanwhile my sales are steady, a little slow, but I'm grateful for every order ! :-)

I'm currently making lovely items to stock up for the Ratner Museum Ladysmith show in April. Here is work in progress from yesterday...these will be in form of rings and pendants.

It's St. Paddy's Day, have fun, please drink responsibly (if you do drink) and don't drive!

(waiting patiently for warmer temps near DC) :-)

Hello Animal Lovers

Greetings! I have been working on some new pieces in form of animals, and it's been treat.

There's more in store, but for now here's what I've just listed:

I've also just listed these weather-related cuties. In the growing theme of my Elements Earrings/Rain, I thought I'd make some simple, pretty, dainty, sterling silver cloud post earrings:

Fun news, I'll be back showing and selling my jewelry at the Ratner Museum, located in Chevy Chase, MD in April.

Here are the wonderful details. Would love to meet you there!!! (more on this subject soon)

We were up at 4 this morning dealing with doggie issues, pardon my sleepiness and lack of other spontaneous information you'll usually find in my blog posts!

All is good, Ginger is doing great, we are a tad tired. Have a wonderful day!!!

Thank you to those who ordered Valentine Goodies from my etsy shop, there's still more, and still time!

Danke! :-)

Oh Happy Morning...

...while busy losing myself in a morning watercolor sketch, something arrived..

New Arbonne products I ordered last Saturday. Oh the colors! (and lookie, hubby got a big thing of shaving gel!) I'm excited about this for several reasons. First and foremost the fact that these babies are very good for the skin and not tested on animals. More good reasons in a follow-up blog, I promise!

Aside from the warmth of my kitchen, my many areas of the house where I can practice art, and a fine hot cup of Joe (and Ginger prancing about) - the sight of the UPS guy made me giggle with glee. (I truly giggled aloud)

Here's what I received in my goodie box today:

Here's what I was playing with as I sipped my java...this exercise loosens me up and helps me greet each day. I do these paintings for my soul and to celebrate the joy of what is to come. (we never know what's around the corner, right?) So my Winter philosophy is - Get up and paint, drink coffee, laugh with hubby and love my furry animals!

My etsy sales are showing many views, this is fantastic. Honesty, more fantastic would be some actual sales. I know the site is brimming with jewelers, and there are so many great shops on etsy now, I think this simply complements my shop.

I have many items ready to ship, and baby they are built to last! I can't say if I love your soul, I don't know you, and didn't reinvent the jewelry-wheel, but my pieces are a part of me, from my soul to my smithing bench. My one woman shop.

I'm thinking it's time for a give-away vlog, in fact, the closer I get to my 1,000th etsy sale the the bigger the prize.

:-)

A Day in the Life of my Etsy Shop

First, I thought I'd show you how cute Ginger is, right after returning from the vets for a check up. She had a little bump appear and grow on her elbow. (you can see it in this photo) Shortly after this was taken, she peed a bucket-load on the floor. She's sleeping at my feet as I type this, I can barely feel my toes, but the torture is worth it ;-) So, the bump was checked and found to have what the doctor described as Round cells. We'll watch the bump, and in about 6 weeks go back and have it checked again, hopefully the little lump will fade away. She just got off of a round of steroids and antibiotics for another issue. I had no idea how much maintenance puppies were!

Next, my super intriguing Vintage find from this week. I love hunting for Vintage items. Aside from specific type of older, colored glassware, I like to find the odd piece. This seems to fit in. I adore her. Not sure what era she is from, I'm thinking the 1950s or later? If anyone knows anything about Catholic Nun Dolls, could you please share?

Yesterday I spent a full day in my studio and yielded some fine pieces. I decided to make a Tomboy Spinner Ring for myself, and an extra for the shop inventory. Also, I had an order for a fire red copper spinner ring with a sterling silver spinner, and a chain added, I really loved making this piece (far right in photo). A wonderful customer, who is a repeat customer, from Canada order a sterling silver Golf Ball Marker, and (not shown) a little ring sizer was sent to someone in Germany. Oh, I also did a custom pendant that was ordered for a teen girl. I was a busy gal, and had so much energy.

Off to the Post Office I went, thank you sweet sweet customers!!!
