Custom Spinner Necklace

This sweet piece is flying out to Australia. A lovely customer ordered this from my etsy shop, AutumnLeavesJewelry.

It's a variation on my much larger personalized family heirloom spinner necklace.

Part of the beauty of this is I made all parts, even both tubes. It was a pure joy to create.

Kinetic jewelry is my favorite to work with.

This will soon be a Made to Order item in my shop along with many other spinner (kinetic) pieces.

I hope you like it.

In other news Ginger's chest and inner elbow rash has returned.  We took her to the vet and will be doing the steroid and anti-biotic round again. After this clears up we'll watch closely and might need to take her to a dermatologist to find out what she is actually allergic to.
It was nice seeing family and friends over the holidays. Facebook is a great way to stay close to family, if not in person, at least on line :-)

Happy Friday, New Spinner Necklaces

Hello Friends

It's been a busy time in our little part of the world. My father in law has settled into his new place and is doing great. Our daughter is working full time in Florida and we feel so very blessed :-)

Ginger is still Ginger. The cats are still hesitant about her. They tease her, when she's in her crate they lallygag nearby. When she's in the kitchen with the baby gate up, they'll stretch out on the foyer rug and preen. It's sort of comical. They do have their routines with each other.

I currently have some lovely stacking rings Ready to Ship in my Etsy shop.

This week my shop enjoyed a flurry of business for which I am so grateful for.

Back to Spinners and Kinetic pieces - I seem to do pretty well selling Men's items, or Unisex pieces.

That said...I'd like to start offering these as a Made To Order listing...(I've sold them in the past, and they are a joy to make, because they spin!)

Both Listings will be available in my shop, AutumnLeavesJewelry later today. (I believe the spinner on the right, the copper fired red one is already listed) The variations seem limitless. The spinner on the left is brass with a sterling silver, oxidized sterling silver spinner ring. The copper on the right has been torch fired to a nice red, with a beautiful hand forged sterling silver ring, left unoxidized).

I hope everyone is well and staying warm.

Happy Friday

Happy Friday to you! :-)

Yesterday I put up a few lights outside, nothing too big. I found some garland with lights attached for half off. It looks so pretty out front draping the wrought iron railing that leads down our steps. Garish seeming at first - I purchased a giant candy can with lights inside, I thought -Why Not- it's a fun statement. This is next to the front door, and I was able to hide the ugly orange wire in a huge empty planter pot. Atop the planter I put a long string of white lights which I wraped about,  and atop of this some fake garland. It really is sort of sweet!

I'm so pleased, okay beyond pleased with my new staple pair of earrings! I'm also thrilled with the photos of other items I've retaken. It really is important to update our Etsy shops, and when the sun presents itself in all its glory, my camera is ready to roll.

Here are the listings of the new items I mentioned yesterday. Each of these items are ready to ship. Remember for free US shipping simply add FreeShippingUS into the code area at check out.

New Jewelry Pieces

Hello Dear Friends,

I've been a busy metal smith today.

This first Lovely is a variation on my Unquiet Ring (some of you are familiar with). This makes noise too! Inside are 2 sterling silver beads. As I always say, You cannot be Ninja wearing this ring!

All parts were made by me. The ring is about an inch wide in diameter. It domes up just under half an inch at the very highest point. Its nicely stamped with a Native feel to it. The ring shank is semi-wide and plain.

This is definitely a unisex ring. My makers mark and .925 are stamped. It is a size 9.
I hope you love it as much as I do :-)

I will be listing this in my Etsy shop, AutumnLeavesJewelry soon...

Another ring fresh from my stone garden:

Gorgeous green turquoise and sterling silver ring. This is a size 8 1/2. The turquoise is a gorgeous oval and sits inside a lovely bezel. I've added some pretty silver round balls to the side. The ring shank is almost a floral pattern and I have oxidized the silver portions to help bring out all these rich textures for you.

My makers mark and .925 are included on this ring.

A staple in my shop, Tomboy Spinner Ring:

This is freshly made and ready to ship! It's a size 6. (she spins, oh does she spin!!!)

Last, but not least are these round, pretty, stamped and domed and textured sterling silver earrings!

They are an inch and a quarter from top of earwire to bottom. All parts made by me. My makers mark and .925 are stamped on the inside. These are a tad over a half an inch wide in diameter.

They remind me of buttons. They're light weight and are definitely an Everyday pair of earrings!

Going to grab some lunch and list these 4 items. I hope everyone is doing well :-)

Pumpkin Bread

Hello Friends,

I'm currently offering Free Shipping within the US. Simply use the code FreeShippingUS at check out to redeem this offer. I know every little bit of savings always helps.

My shop has been unusually slow which has me feeling a little sad. Not to worry, as I type this there is a pair of the sweetest puppy dog eyes staring up at me from my lap.

Speaking of Ginger Girl, I saved myself some money by giving her a bath here at home last night. I used  doggie shampoo. (anything smells better than she has smelled!) I also trimmed her nails...carefully! I feel like a grand pack leader as she didn't seem to mind either task.

The other day it was raining out, which seemed a perfect time to make these:

Jewerly 40% Off Sale in my Etsy Shop AutumnLeavesJewelry

Hello Friends,

I haven't blogged in a month! Things have been very busy around these parts. My husband and I are making plans and getting the prep work done for my father-in-law to move to a different location. To say we have not felt stress is to say we haven't felt so much love. Luckily the balance of each is equal. While my father in law has had a tough couple of months he remains healthy and ready for the big move.

In other news I still have some fantastic items on sale and would love for them to find new homes :-)
They would each make wonderful Hanukkah or Christmas gifts! (or just treat yourself - I always say)

I'm so close to my 1,000th Etsy sale, well, I'm in my 900's and am waiting for that big number to hit. I'll always remember what it was like with my first and 100th sale. I do love the connections I make on Etsy. Connections of fellow lovers of art. Lovers of things hand made.

Soon I will be learning how to carve into wax for hand made, one of a kind, cast metal pieces. I can't wait!

Meanwhile, Ginger has grown from a hyper puppy to a semi...oh dear-okay... mostly-hyper 1 year old dog. She's learning to stay on her bed while I smith in the studio. She's loving her walks and still trying to get to know her sister kitties in the house.

Once my father in law is settled into his new home I will have so much more free time to create lovely jewelry for you.

A couple of days ago a dear friend, Jessie, flew home to visit with family, we met halfway in Annapolis, MD. It's always a special time catching up with each other in person as opposed to online. Aren't we all grateful for being in touch online?

If you look to the right of this entry you will see some photos from my etsy shop you can click on any of them to enter my shop. I'm forever grateful for each sale and look forward to working with you in the future.
