How To Make A Silver Smithed Portrait Pendant

Hi guys, this is Part 1 of 2, I  hope you find it useful...I'll probably add pics with Part 2 when I finish this piece. Hope this sparks some creative juices in you :-) If you have questions about my process which isn't shown (lost footage wah) just post here.

I love your tutorials, thank you so much! I've been playing around with resin, and I can't wait to see the rest. Seems like no matter how careful I am I always end up with a bubble or two. Have a good one:)

Hi susie, thanks :-) I really like getting rid of the bubbles...I know there's a way they can be removed by blowing through a straw or something...I like my way better, it's fast and fun :-)

I love this so much, Care!! You just gave me an diea for my Grandma's Christmas gift. This poor (still) unemployed, broke girl is looking for anything good to make for gifts. I'm going to try to find a god pic of Granddaddy & make one for her. I don't have a lot of silver but do have a piece of 24 gauge...perfect!!
I also happen to have a little container of 2 part resin from a few years ago, that I've never opened. Hope it's still good.

Thanks sweet girl!!

Pammy! Hi! I know what you mean, it's time consuming, but you can really be so creative with the resin. I would suggest (do you mind if I suggest?) putting a layer of resin over the photo you print (print on photo paper if you can)...the reason is for the layers you'll do to get the photo positioned. This was explained in my "lost" footage :-( I'll go over it in the next vlog. I just spent a while getting the bezel/pendant exactly how I want it. That's another beauty of these instant heirlooms, you can use the 24ga stock sheet, and make the piece any shape, size etc...it's not like fitting a cab :-) Hugs!

Honey, suggest all you want. I've never used resin & have no idea what to do. I just have an inkjet printer & wonder if the resin will discolor the ink. I've been painting & collaging & noticed that my printed faces seem to get green when I start brushing matte medium on top. I do have photo paper.
