Good morning, I love your new "look". Very clever. I think it is a blob of black mud in the yard. Have a great day. Hugs, Sal
Maybe a chunk of tar????
It's witches butter
*does cartwheel across her blog*tee heeh eheheheheh hehehe heeeehee heee hehehehehe heeeeeeeeee
This is driving me nuts, must do further research - what the heck is it?!
guess anything Susie:-) as many times as you like!
Bee/wasp/hornet nest.......is this considered a multiple guess?? Hope not.
your'e good Sal, I will allow that combo...I'm surprised there aren't more guesses?
Oh, you, you're VERY funny with your sassy little cartwheels and recovery from back pain...so you throw THIS at us????I'm going to guess an owl pellet....And I LOVE those earrings--in fact, are those one of MY pairs set for gift-giving this fall? I got your note today that the package is mailed--yipppeeeeeeeeee!!Have a great weekend!
fake cartwheels! :P I still have heat on my back Caroliiiiiiiine!!!!!!hmmmm wow, that's what an owl pellet would look like? Cool! But, it isn't owl poo.Yes they are one of your pair that went out today with the other 3 pair! I couldn't pass up a photo op!:D
A pile of dirt from a mole farm under your yard???
compost pile? That was my ONE guess... :(
Elephant dung? (Known affectionately as zoo poo over here!)Well, it's a guess isn't it???
Burnt molasses. Not quite sure who was baking/cooking what!
lol that's a good guess Sandy, but no moles, our cat Bart eats them all!ha ha ha you are so silly Nay, you can guess more than once, just not in one post! :P I'm a meanie!!! not a compost pile! (we do recycle, but we don't do the composty thing, it's probably against home owners rules and I wouldn't know where to start.LOL Zoo Poo, no, not elephant dung!!!omg that is funny too Maryann, I have a pic somewhere on this blog of some box mix of potatoes au gratin my daughter swears she followed the recipe for, they turned black in the microwave, smoked the house up!!!so, no not Burnt Molasses...
My guess is a fungus. Though without scale, I'm not sure if it is a humungous fungus.
That better not be your insulation! If so, get it replaced ASAP! LOL! ;o)
eep! Julz and Vita are very close to solving this mysterious photo. There is fungi involved (if that's mold) and it's not insulation...it's...something...elsemuwahhahahahhhahahhaaaaaaaa...
Or wait...that what Julz said...nevermind. lol
Hardened black asbestos????? From fireplace renovation?????
Sal, you are on the right track...but no, not from the fireplace!!!getting closer though...:-)
Okay -- itt looks to me like wet "dryer lint" from your clothes dryer......a BIG pile of it!
I'm guessing again...BBQ Gunk??Like after you BBQ and you clean it out?I don't know...Neighbors are BBQing and it just sprang to mind.
Oven Gunk? After you clean and scrap out the oven?I am going with a cooking theme here...
Hardened black asbestos with dried glue from floor renovation
old hardened black asbestos filled glue on the cement
Blocked drain gunk. Revolting I know!
More good guesses Nay, Sal and Maryann- I am shocked someone nailed it! It is indeed- disgusting- wet old dryer lint!!! Not only did DH remove it last weekend, (our dryer was taking longer and longer to do its thing)- but after all that work getting the gunk to *drop* out of the vent duct- he bought and replaced the whole new pipe-vent duct, poor guy!!! SONGBIRD congratulations...how in heck did you figure this out? I knew eventually it would be guessed by someone, was it a guess or is it familiar? oy! Please convo or email me your address! :-) It looks like something Big Foot would leave behind...when hubby showed me, after getting photos, I made him remove it from the front of the house and he had to wash all his clothes and shower! He says he didn't notice an *odor*, it was just...unexpected!!! This was so much fun! Thanks for playing along you sweet lovely friends! :-)
