a new Dish, this one is Riveting...

at least it has been riveted. I loved making this. It took a lot of energy to get it just the way it is...it was important to get some movement into a dish piece, so, here she is, her leaf moves in a full circle as you can see.

Does this dish look coy?

this is Diamond from just a bit ago, we keep little boxes around for our cats to snuggle in...you never know where a pair of ears will pop up at you...

I'll be producing one SOON with a movable lid...oh the wonders of kinetics, I love to make things move in metal...

and I'm so friggin down...though the good news is hubby, who has been out of town since Wed will be home tonight...and I keep reminding myself that the sadness will pass, the moods will even out...the anxiety will quell...truly I know that.

Another great piece!!! You're going to have order a truckload of silver if you keep this up. I love the leaf (she does look very coy)

Reunited & it feels so good........

great new pieces, a dish with a lid, what a wonderful idea!! I can't wait to see it!!! :) sorry you've been so down, are you taking something or just battling it on your own?? I'm glad you know it will pass!

Pam, lol, yes it feels so good. I am using very thick silver, this is not thin gauge by any means. My arms are getting a good work out, lol!
Hi FB Buddy! The idea of adding pieces that move has me very much in the zone. (as far as moods, yes I do see someone, probably since I was a teen off and on thru the years...it does help, thanks for asking :) I've also noticed how many artists seem to be affected. But, moods and disorders cross into every family don't they? ugh, it is what it is for all of us...

Hang on! The box with the lid is for the cat right?
Original idea. You could do dog baskets and litter trays.....endless.
Joking.
The dish is beautiful, I can tell that you're so inspired by this latest direction. It's great to see. Go girl.

Another wonderful work of art! Your dishes are fabulous.
Depression does seem to run rampant in the artsy community. Maybe it's part of what makes us creative! I hope you feel better soon.

Found your blog - I think via LisaLovelies - and love to read your journey and see your creations! I've only just started silversmithing and I'm finding all this creativity out there very inspiring (and a little scary too!). Hope you feel better soon.

PS. what a gorgeous cat!

A big giant suffocatingly tight hug for you my sweet Care! You know that I know how are you feel :-)

Your new piece took my breath away, and then when it came back I uttered "WOW" in front of all the boys that were at my house watching UFC last night lol
Its splendid, and the movement of the leaf ? Divine. How lucky someone would be to have this in their hands, and pass it down to a loved one!!
hugs - Jaim
